Sr. Laser Product Engineer - III-V, SOA
Job Title: Sr. Laser Product Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Compensation: $200K - $260K base DOE plus equity
Requirement: 10+ years of experience in lasers, SOAs, or photonic component engineering, III-V semiconductors, Product Qualification, Reliability Testing, Supplier Management
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Laser Product Engineer with expertise in III-V semiconductor technology and semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA). The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and optimizing photonic components, ensuring product reliability, and managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to volume production.
Key Responsibilities - Design and develop advanced laser products based on III-V semiconductor technology.
- Lead reliability testing and failure analysis for laser products and SOAs.
- Manage and optimize product lifecycle processes from development to volume ramp.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process development and qualification of new products.
- Oversee supplier management to ensure quality and timely delivery of components.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements for product efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's (Master's or PhD Preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in laser product engineering or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA) and photonic components.
- Proven experience in reliability testing and failure analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management and process development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
