Job Description Second Shift Overhead Crane Operator Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced
Second Shift Overhead Crane Operator for a long-term opportunity with a leading steel and metals manufacturer located in Alpharetta, GA. With over 100 years in business, this company is a respected name in the metals industry and offers excellent opportunities for growth and advancement. In this role, you will work directly with steel and other heavy metal materials, operating overhead cranes and forklifts, as well as supporting shipping, receiving, and operations.
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.
Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Second Shift Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities • Safely operate overhead cranes to move steel and heavy metal materials.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and stock using cranes and forklifts.
• Prepare and secure loads, including chaining and tarping shipments.
• Maintain accurate logs of inbound and outbound materials.
• Pick and pull steel products according to specifications using measuring tools.
• Support warehouse and production teams in meeting daily goals.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
• Perform additional related tasks as needed.
Second Shift Overhead Crane Operator Job Requirements and Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on overhead crane experience in a steel or metals environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Strong knowledge of safety policies and safe material-handling practices.
• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted, in office lifting assessment is required.
Job Type: Full time, Temporary to Hire
