Materials Manager | Coopersville, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $118,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and procurement of raw materials and components to support production demands.
• Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material handling, and shipping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the materials team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure seamless material flow and on-time delivery.
• Utilize and maintain ERP/MRP systems for accurate material planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and material cost.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, planning, and procurement.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory optimization, demand forecasting, and production planning methodologies.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced ERP/MRP system implementations or upgrades.
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
