About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship to play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of its philanthropic initiatives. The successful candidate will be tasked with redefining the donor experience, moving beyond traditional methods to create high-impact, customized experiences that truly reflect the generosity of the institution's supporters. This includes the design and implementation of a comprehensive, campus-wide donor relations and stewardship program, with a focus on ensuring that every donor feels valued, connected, and inspired to continue their support. The role involves leading a skilled team, partnering with advancement leadership, deans, and development colleagues, and is particularly suited to a strategic, visionary leader ready to make a lasting impact on the philanthropic future of the institution. Applicants for the Executive Director position should be prepared to lead the transformation of donor relations into a hallmark of the institution's advancement success. The role requires a leader who can conceptualize and implement innovative strategies that reinforce a culture of gratitude, support campaign goals, and drive donor retention and growth. A key aspect of the position is the ability to design and curate personalized stewardship for major and principal gifts, as well as to build recognition programs that resonate with donors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in donor relations and stewardship, with a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape and a commitment to the values of the institution. A strategic and collaborative approach is essential, as is the ability to work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve the institution's ambitious philanthropic goals.
