Overview Director of Business Development role at Planned Companies. This role focuses on improving market position and driving financial growth, building key customer relationships, identifying lucrative business opportunities, and negotiating and closing business deals. The ideal candidate will be highly personable, an expert negotiator, and experienced in sales and business development. Key Responsibilities Target and attain new business for the company’s three service offerings across the assigned territory, with a target of delivering annual new business revenue in excess of $3M. Utilize CRM platforms to build a pipeline of qualified prospects and schedule weekly meetings with opportunities. Target Residential and Commercial properties where Property Managers, owners/developers, and facilities will be the points of contact. Join multiple industry organizations and attend networking events to build and grow new relationships. Attend trade shows and conferences, set up booths, manage traffic, and pitch prospective clients. Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to inform business development decisions for new prospects and existing clients. Provide regular reports to senior management on territory performance, including revenue, pipeline, and other KPIs. Work closely with Operations and Marketing to align business development efforts with company goals for the territory. Create and leverage relationships with partner companies and industry experts to reach new prospects and continually build a strong pipeline. Requirements Bachelor’s degree. 7 to 10 years of proven sales experience. Experience with presentations such as PowerPoints, proposal reviews, and company pitches. Must reside within the noted territory with the ability to work from the Brooklyn, NY office 2x per week. Vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Ability to travel daily and be prepared for multiple overnight trips throughout the year. Strong attention to detail to provide timely and accurate pipeline and sales activity updates via CRM.
