Job Highlights:

• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE DRIVING GARBAGE TRUCKS: REAR LOAD, ROLL OFF, AND FRONT LOAD!
• Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the pick-up of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
• Transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities, making multiple trips as required throughout the shift.
• Operate both manual and automatic trucks.
• Be prepared to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and manage weights of up to 100 pounds while entering and exiting the truck multiple times.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with an Airbrake endorsement.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 7 years, with a focus on driving all types of garbage trucks.
• Excellent safety record and clean MVR.
• Previous experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.
• Understanding of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English to converse with the public, understand traffic signals, and complete reports.
• Capable of reading and understanding maps.
• Must meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required under DOT regulations, which may include weekends, nights, and holidays.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Routes may involve navigating through congested communities and tight urban areas.
• Strong backing maneuver skills are essential for job success.
• Routine climbing in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts is required.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections to ensure trucks comply with IWS's safety standards and all regulations.

Salary Range: Minimum: USD $25.00/Hr. Maximum: USD $28.00/Hr.
