Overview Assistant Professor - Computer Information Systems (CIS) – #001439 Position is a 9-month, tenure track, Assistant Professor role in the School of Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, and Business Law within the College of Business. The primary location is the main Cullowhee campus, starting in August 2026. The successful candidate will teach and contribute to research, advising, and service as described below. Responsibilities Teach three courses per semester in both face-to-face and online formats, including core enterprise information systems courses, courses in the cybersecurity program, intermediate Python programming, and other CIS-related courses as needed. Maintain an active research agenda resulting in publications in peer‑reviewed journals. Engage in advising and participate in service activities as designated by the school director. Contribute to the College\'s mission to equip students with skills for contemporary business challenges. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: A terminal degree in Computer Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. ABD candidates considered if the degree is completed by July 1, 2026. Note: a degree in Computer Science does not satisfy the requirement. Preferred Qualifications: A strong record or potential for impactful research, teaching, and contributions to the student and academic community.
