Northrop Grumman Marine systems is seeking an Additive Technologies Principal Investigator Level 4 to drive the technical business strategy, development, and execution of heavy industrial additive manufacturing activities. A presence in Sunnyvale, California is preferred but is not required for this role. This position is for a dynamic role within Northrop Grumman's Marine Systems Materials Engineering and Processes team. A Principal Investigator (PI) will work closely with other materials engineers, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, advanced development, and executive leadership, and our customers to develop and execute technical strategy for industrial use of additive manufacturing. This includes identify use cases on current and future programs, securing funding, and assisting with messaging to customers. The PI will also be required to work tactically with program management, contracts, internal supply chain, and our suppliers to drive execution to schedule. The individual in this position will be driving innovation and business-level activities but will need to have a strong understanding of the technologies involved.
